Bates Office is one of the UK?s largest B2B service providers, with three national distribution centres, 130 employees and its own fleet of vehicles. Bates Office began trading as a small typewriter shop in the 1930s. From this we have grown into a major national supplier of business productivity supplies and services, delivering to customers across the UK but we remain a family-run business with a longstanding heritage.

Our Sustainability

Bates Office is a company with a purpose beyond profit. Leading from the front on sustainability, we are taking direct action by delivering positive change to address the most pressing challenges of our time. We operate on the three pillars of sustainability; Economic, Social, and Environmental. This governs the way we work, sell and buy. We are working endlessly to ensure that our business is a collective force for good. We are committed to doing all we can to protect the planet, reduce poverty and encourage responsible consumption and production. Our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives are part of our heritage and we have always considered the legacy that our business might leave. As positive agents for change, we are proactively contributing to a thriving planet via our Bates Office Environmental Champions, responsible for encouraging, implementing, and maintaining our sustainability initiatives.

Distribution Network

Bates Office has three distribution centres in Rochester, Stoke, and Bridgend with a comprehensive network of vehicles that service 95% of the UK?s population. Deliveries will be made by our in-house team of friendly and experienced drivers. We provide a flexible service to all our customers, including free of charge desktop and ?point of need? deliveries. Through our intelligent back-office system, we offer consolidated and scheduled deliveries to limit our carbon emissions.
